John is a Qualified SFA Coach and First Aider.
Coached many age groups before starting Girls Team Polbeth United Reds, ranging from Boys Under 12s to Under 17s on the way winning promotion at Under14s ( 1992 ) Level, winning the President Cup Final against Broxburn 2 - 1 at Under 15s(1992 ) also winning Fair Play Team Award at Under 16s ( 1992 ) , John is also a Coach at the Soccer School with his wife Bernadette and Stevie Russell also John is the President of Polbeth United.Johns son Jamie played for Polbeth for 6 years winning Player of the Year and playing for the West Lothian SFA Team for 3 years
