Polbeth United Football Club. Based in the small village of Polbeth, Scotland we are one of a number of community based youth football clubs in West Lothian where we presently run 12 teams and a soccer school. Having been established since 1969, we are one of the oldest youth football clubs in our area. Amongst a host of successes, the club has won the prestigious Scottish Youth Cup 5 times at a number of different age groups and a number of our former players have established professional football careers. The club focuses in developing players and allowing participation, especially for the younger age groups. We have approximately 250 members and plan to increase to 13/14 teams by 2009/10. Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
